So why play a party-based RPG in the first place...?

I'm buying it at 75% off with all DLC bundled in one pack. Oh and when everyone is done whining about how terrible it is.

Yes, I am. You don't want to play a tactical party-based RPG but you want to play it anyway? Doesn't make sense. Just wait for The Witcher 3 if you don't like party-based games.

I'm not a huge fan of the series, thought the PC controls for Origins were implemented poorly compared to the old Infinity Engine games, and I hate Origin. IF I get DAI, it'll be on PS3.

The controls were dope on PC, Origins was a PC game

If by "dope," you mean "stupid," then yeah. I bought DAO specifically for PC because I wanted the Infinity Engine experience. Instead I got a camera that was locked to a small range from the party, party member AI that made them forget their commands and follow the camera's view zone around, and other annoyances I'm forgetting (it has been a long time).

DAO wasn't a PC game, it was a multi-platform game.

Probably not, or at least not for a long time. I own Origins but I've never even played it. I've also never purchased a game on Origin.

EAware has fooled me already with DA2 and ME 3.

Not going to happen again.

Maybe when it's five-ten bucks on sale, unless the game turns out amazing. Wasn't huge fan of the first two.
Your problem is you've spent your whole life thinking there are rules. There aren't. We used to be gorillas.
