This is a topic that's been going on the system boards.

Most Xbox owners say yes. WiiU says no while the PS4 is still ongoing. I can't understand how a game played on PC is considered a console exclusive. The argument is most console owners don't acknowledge PC so it counts as a console exclusive. That and PC gaming is apparently niche. So what do you guys think?

It technically would be a console exclusive, because it's available only on one console. Platform exclusive, then no.

No longer exclusive.

the only people that still consider it an exclusive are the owners of that platform. Mysteriously, console exclusives don't matter once it's another console's game that's console exclusives, only seems to be MS and Sony fans that do that too.

Yeah. Loyal console gamers of only one platform are ridiculous at times (most of the time). It's exclusive to their console and is the best thing ever!!! Then when it gets ported 6 months down the road, the game automatically becomes trash and they didn't want it anyway. But if it gets ported to the PC? Yes. The definition of "exclusive" means "not exclusive." This is obvious.

The main argument I get from them is that consoles and PC don't compete and the PC doesn't matter to them therefore it doesn't exist. That is their logic.

I think the idea of exclusives suck.

I generally go with the "console exclusive" statement, but if I were to give my honest opinions, no, it's not exclusive anymore.

When people say "Yes, it's still exclusive" it generally means they (wrongly) think that PC gaming is irrelevant, among other things. These people are ignorant and shouldn't be paid any attention.

No.

A game on Xbox/PS4 is console exclusive.
A game only on Xbox is Xbox exclusive.
A game on Windows/Linux/Mac is PC exclusive.
A game only on Linux is Linux exclusive.
etc.
