Why you wouldn't want to game on pc

#1Puckswack12Posted 8/9/2014 5:31:29 AM
We've all heard people argue how complicated it is. Or how they prefer controllers and tvs.

But as pc gamers we know its not really like that and those complaints are neither relevant or true.

So what are the legitimate reasons for not wanting to get into pc gaming?

Incoming posts about how they don't want to and they prefer the couch tv setup that only consoles can provide and PC gaming is too much of a hassle. Lol

if your only taste in gaming doesn't extend beyond JRPGs.

if you only have $200-400 to your name and only have $10 per month in disposable income which would make ps+ a great deal... but only for ps3 obv.

PC hardware doesn't need to match console hardware in price when PC gamers save literal thousands from the software they buy.

Here, I'll list all of them:

The only real reason, IMO, that I can think of is the lack of certain console exclusive games. Practically all of the Nintendo exclusives, JRPGs in general, and so on. If that's their thing, then PC gaming is rather pointless to the person in question.

To me, there is no real reason to not enjoy both. PC gaming has a higher entry price, but pays for itself in the long run. The performance alone is just...it's mind boggling.

They'd rather spend more money on higher priced games and pay high subscription fees

You don't want access to true BC.
You don't want better graphics
You don't want cheaper games
You don't want free online
You don't like the idea of mods.

Only reasons i can see someone not wanting to game on PC.

Costs for one. The initial investment to game good on a PC is expensive. And with so many options it's hard to settle for a cheaper build. The fact that consoles offer a single price point is one of it's biggest benefits. For pc gaming there is no limit. Sure you can get your foot in the door with $500, but you can also spend $3000. For some people it's hard to set a limit, and stick to it. So many people on here also say "Spend a little more and get ____ instead"...

This is the misinformation that gets me mad...

$300 gaming PC

$400 gaming PC

and Here's a $500 build that will absolutely destroy consoles, play all games on ultra @ 1080p/30fps:

The long term saving is pretty amazing compared to the amount you'll spend on a console.

I have something like 30 PS3 games and the cost of them would be equal to 300 or more PC games.
