I started Episode 1 of "Wolf Among Us" last night at 9pm...

and didn't get to bed until almost 6am. I haven't been that engrossed in a game since... I don't even know.

Yes, I feel really sleep deprived now, but it was totally worth it. Great art, great voice acting, great "choose your own adventure" options (especially when your character starts losing his **** and you can choose between getting really violent or holding back... anyone who's played knows how delicious a lot of the fight scenes are). QTE sections are kind of hit and miss, but holy ****, this is probably going to GotY for me.

I know some people will argue whether it's really a "game" or not, but I don't care. It is one hell of an entertainment, and whether it gets classified as "game" by some is immaterial to me. Amazingly well told, and the production value was superb. Probably the best use of cel-shaded graphic ever.

I hope they make season 2.

Awesome game.

Dude, I can hardly contain myself about how awesome it is. I want to go spitting out the good bits everywhere because it was so amazing.

Ripping Gren's arm off when he's clearly lost, just to be a dick? Punching Beast in the face even though it's totally unnecessary? Slapping Ichabod Crane while he's crying and claiming innocence? Ripping the Crooked Man's head off instead of tossing him down the well, and scaring the **** out of everybody else? Absolutely delicious.

@Arsenic yeah, I felt some of the QTE sections weren't as well-executed as they could've been (the fight with Bloody Mary was kind of annoying, even though it's impossible to lose it just felt clunky), but the art, voice acting, music, atmosphere, interactivity, this trumps **** like "Heavy Rain" or "Beyond Souls" without question.

, even though it's impossible to lose

I actually lost to Jersey Devil and got a Game Over. I was half-assing the QTE because I also thought it was impossible to lose, and it was such a shock when I got the Game Over screen. XD

Oh, lol. Good to know. I'm planning on doing a second playthrough... I don't expect the differences in dialogue to cause major differences in gameplay, but I figure it'll be fun enough to do anyway.

Kind of depressing to play games this good, in a way. It shows how good games can be when the people making it have a good idea (or in this case, license a really good idea), and give a serious **** about what they're doing. I remember playing "Last of Us" because people kept telling me how immersive it was and how great the story was... then I played it, and had to really force myself to keep going. Thought it was pretty lackluster, if it wasn't a console exclusive I don't think it would've gotten nearly as much acclaim as it did.

Then I play this game, and it reminds me of playing RPGs as a kid, where it's so immersive I didn't even realize how tired I was or how much time was passing... yet pretty much nobody is talking about it.

It's a crime, really.

I quite enjoyed it. And I didn't know it was possible to lose any of the QTE fights either! Which is fine with me because f*** QTE.

And now that it's been mentioned, I kinda want to go through the game again and just be a complete destructive violent psycho piece of crap this time.

Dude, it's awesome. You get to rip limbs off of people. It shows it and everything. Then you get to say some killer "I don't give a **** because I'm a werewolf cop" line afterwards. It's awesome.

Also, kicking in every single door in the game instead of knocking and seeing how everyone responds is hilarious.

It is indeed quite possible to lose if you aren't active or have a mouse. I was playing with a bad touchpad and died many time throughout the game.

However, I can confirm that when you first chase Dee, it is indeed impossible to lose. I went away for a bit at the beginning of it, expecting a Game Over, and when I walked back the sequence was already over and the story was still continuing.
