Yeah I'm sure it is but troubleshooting it is a ***** because of the sheer amount of combinations in options

Yes, please. I'm using bit torrent but it's really just because it was the first I ever found so I know it's not a fake virus or anything. If there's better out there I'd love to know.

Yup! That's what I'm using. I still miss the days when you didn't even need to install it and it just sat on your desktop like a jpeg though.

Used to use utorrent, switched to tixati. It's uglier, but it's way better in my opinion.

Use Deluge. Do not use uTorrent they are in bed with the MPAA and others.

How do you get rid of the garbage files? For me it just creates a ton of placeholder files and never removes them

No it isn't, there's an unofficial Windows build called Transmission-QT Win. That's what I use, and it's dramatically faster than Tixati, which I was using before.
