Would kill for an NHL game on PC, but I would prefer an NHL 2K15 game.

They don't sell enough on PC to be worth porting and both NHL and Madden rely far more on a controller than FIFA (and as someone who owns a console mainly for NHL it would be borderline impossible to play it on a KB/M).

You do know they make all manner of controllers for the PC, right? Even going back to the late 80's/early 90's they had something known as the "game port" and "game port expansion cards" for that very purpose (with many sound cards having built-in game ports).

Because EA knows that most PC only gamers are nerds who hate sports.

That begs the question, why are you posting here when you should be commenting on some "Yahoo! Sports" story or watching "Sportscenter"?

well with the new "consoles" maybe?

I mean I see we even get nascar semi regularly
a port every 3 years shouldn't be an issue?

I think we might see more PC releases of sports games this generation because the consoles are using the x86 architecture now, making it easier to port games. I'm sure EA wouldn't need to sell more than a few hundred thousand copies to make their money back.

Watching sports is way more nerdy though. You are literally devoting your time to follow something you have zero control over and the people involved don't care whether you exist or not. The outcome will happen regardless of whether you watch, don't watch or even exist. Yet its "cool" to be passionate about that.

I'd agree, people who watch and people who play are entirely different markets. I only watch NHL during the playoffs, but I'll play the NHL videogames all year 'round.

...obviously.

I've been gaming almost exclusively on PC since the early 90's; however, there are MANY PC gamers that expect a game to have both KB/M and controller options--NHL, with the skill stick, is borderline impossible to replicate on the KB/M and would be unplayable IMO. Therefore, I was saying that since they would be unable to provide people with the OPTION of either KB/M or controller that they might forego the PC version altogether (or it may be one of the reasons why).

Sports games don't sell well on PC, PC gamers are too nerdy.
