That makes sense. Get something you'll have to run an emulator with to play 99% of games.

Go with a wired Xbox 360 controller. You can get one at Walmart or Gamestop for about $25 if you get a third party controller. Trust me. I was playing with a DS4, and it got tedious as hell having to run SCP server constantly. And some games (especially Oculus Rift games) would glitch out with the DS4.

ds3 drivers run in the background and dont have to be started. once you install it all you have to do is plug it in

I also suggest the ds3
While I may not agree with your opinion, I will defend to the death your right to have it.

I don't know, I actually like prefer the placement of the analog stick on xbox type controllers. Are there any third party Dual shock 3s that copy that layout?

I love the dualshock 4, but OP, DON'T go with the Dualshock 3. As a controller it's just poorly designed uncomfortable garbage.

If you're doing that, go with a wired 360 controller. Then you don't have to do any emulators. Trust me, DS3 emulators are tedious to get working. A 360 controller is literally plug and play.
