Time to rethink beats headphones?

LauL OP...I can't take you seriously....

"beats"... by a "Dr" dre or whatever...

But hey if buying those make you socially acceptable somewhere...go for it...it's your money!

I use the Beats Solo for my PC. They were an unexpected gift from my mother.

They're pretty good, not the best. Sound is a 7/10, bass is decent and highs could be better. Sound cancellation is really good.

Not bad for $75~ if you're into that as s fashion item. Excellent for free.

Well the point is the old ones were god awful and the new ones are vastly improved. Sounds like you have an older pair.

Innerfidelity is well respected between audiophiles. His opinion carries a lot of weight. Seeing him praise beats is very unexpected

Isn't the consensus for Beats is basically OK headset but horribly overpriced?

I personally like Beats. The issue is every kid in America wants em, so they are ridiculously marked up because of the demand.

I don't mind bass heavy, the music I listen to sounds great in them.

If he's that popular, they could have easily bought this guy's opinion out. They're probably well aware that no one who cares about audio takes Beats seriously.

I won't be buying them just because one guy said they were good. I'll wait until half the audiophiles around there try them and confirm his opinion, and then maybe I'll consider them not terrible anymore. They still look ridiculous and manage to find their way on the heads of some of the most annoying people in America, so I personally will probably stick with the tried and true classics.

A quick web search shows other people agreeing with the opinion for the most part, but still think the Sennheiser Momentum is better, along with Vmoda XS.
I don't think Beats would bother buying out so many random internet people's opinions.

The greatest part about this is it just means there's more decent choices for people that are looking for new headphones in the $200 range.

pretty-much, but they are very bass heavy, so most people that care about getting the highest quality sound typically look elsewhere, like Audio Technica's ATH M50's, by far the best headphones for the price.
