E sports should be called E games or something. The word sport shouldn't be involved

Well. I'm a "17 years old kid", and I can't take e-sports seriously.

First of all, they should be named "e-tournaments". There's nothing sportive about it.

Gaming is but a hobby for me, I don't take it too seriously.

Sports have to be some kind of physical activity.

Heart surgery is also more demanding than sports but that does not make it a sport. I also don't agree that e-sports are more demanding than real sports. Just because you can't play as well when you get old does not mean they are more demanding than regular sports.

Why do people try and even compare e-sports and real sports. They are completely different and even though I respect e-sports I do not place them in the same category as real sports.

maybe in america sponsors drop old players but in football/soccer players have been known to play well into retirement age.

I always find these topics pretty funny. People get straight up pissed that people refer to e-sports as a "sport."

Remember folks. Chess is considered a sport by the IOC. And I don't think many would argue that e-sports takes less athleticism (reaction time/"twitch" movements etc) than chess.
