I saw someone at work playing a game on his laptop, and was curious what it was, but it was sort of a shoulder-peek, so I didn't want to seem too nosey, although I was.
Anywho, the game he was playing looked like it was a strategy game on a map, but when he engaged in battle, it was a green grid that looked turn-based. I noticed there was a 9-headed hydra monster, and there was a character on an armored reptile-thing. In this battle mode, it looked like the units took their turn with a bunch of head shots at the bottom of the screen. There were times he opened up a spell book, clicked on spell, and clicked on a mob.
I thought the game was actually Spore at first judging by his overworld creature, but I dunno. --- >_>

Sounds like Heros of Might and Magic. --- It's free to play after you buy it. That's F2P genius. ~ Brutal_Felix
