For me its the opposite, its very annoying when you have to stare at never ending loading screens in consoles. In the case of mass effect and elder scrolls (games i play the most) the loading times are unbearable. Not a problem in a pc with ssd and a decent cpu.
But i know what you mean, most of my friends think console is relaxing compared to pc. Even my brother who plays on my pc when im out.
You do realize pretty much all modern PC games support the 360 controller, right? Just get one of those, hook up your PC to HDTV with HDMI and you're all set. This kind of complaining so 10 years ago when PC games heavily relied on KB/M and no TV support. Heck, Steam is even coming up with their own controller that will be compatible with the entire catalog of 10k games there.
After a hard day of standing up and teaching a bunch of braindead teenagers how to do simple math and open a document on a computer, grading, filling out lesson plans, and engaging in petty public education politics, there's nothing I find more relaxing than sitting down in my comfy chair and playing some vidya on my computer. I don't even have to pop in a disk, I just double click an icon and I'm playing.
