Im hoping to have an 880 myself, so cheaper the better. I want a new card that will be like the 8800 was in its time.

Same. Building a new PC in November, so hopefully the 880 doesn't get pushed back to next year.

@Ares_Targaryen

When the 8800 series came out is when I started getting into real PC gaming.

Off the top of my head, first there was the 8800GTX, then the 8800GTS (384/768), then a second round of the 8800GTS (512MB) with more cores or something, later, the 8800 Ultra to take the GTXs crown, then the oh so famous 8800GT, which was for the longest time considered the best bang for your buck card. That card was worshipped by all.

Naturally, I purchased an HD 4870 on release. Lol. Good memories.

Collude with developers on the software side so they can cheap out on s*** bus and other hardware so they can drive up their profit margin. Just another day in business for Nvidia.

pretty sure that's at stock. Plus im pretty sure you'll be able to overclock it....AND if it'll be cheaper than the 780 and ti version?(and is said to have a lower power consumption) what more could you even want ???

This is why we can't have nice things.

20% more power than 780 Ti but cost lower than 780, I would gladly sell my Ti for a GTX 880

are you sure?

Cheaper than 780Ti?

WHAT A WHOLE LOAD OF BOLLOCKS.

This is NVIDIA, folks. They've always priced their stuff high and they will continue to, because there are enough people out there who will always lap up to it for the same reason why people still buy Apple gadgets; the price may be disproportionate to the actual value, but it gives its purchasers a sense of superiority over anyone else through their seemingly greater purchasing power.

Not buying the "cheaper than 780" bit. MSRP $700 minimum.
