Build Recommendations

#1LthePandaPosted 8/20/2014 2:29:55 AM
So I am looking to build a PC some time in the upcoming month and I need help in terms of building a good, yet affordable, PC. The main reason I would like to play on PC is for fighting games like USF4 and so on. I was originally thinking of getting USF4 on myPS4 whenever it will be made available on psNow, but after playing DoA5 on psNow I realized that streaming fighting games is not a very good idea due to input lag.

Anyway I am looking to spend around $500 (more or less). So what parts and sites/stores best fit what I am looking for?

If you are playing fighting games you will find a larger player base on consoles. If you don't care about the player base I can offer you a nice cheap build.

The Build:http://pcpartpicker.com/b/Rbhqqs

This is literally the best one of the best entry level builds you will find. Others will put an intel CPU like the 3220. The performance should be similar either way.

I can even benchmark USF4 on it if you want.

True however there are still a lot of people that play on PC as well. PR Balrog said himself he prefers USF4 on PC to console.

This is why we can't have nice things.

my knowledge on how this works is minimal but if I can actually get this for under 500 that would be pretty awesome. this would allow to maybe even get some better parts here and there (or if it works perfect for fighting games then i dont need to upgrade until far later on).

Please wait until someone else posts another build for you TC. That build is not so good....

EDIT: Also, do you need a windows license or do you have a windows disc laying around?

no worries i never jump straight into first recommendations and take my time hearing people's opinions. I do not plan to buy the parts for another week or two so hopefully this thread yields great results.

If you like fighting games, make sure you pick up the Humble Bundle this week, because that includes King of Fighters XIII Steam Edition (all 3 DLCs included) at the BTA level!

"ASRock H81M Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard has an onboard USB 3.0 header, but the NZXT Source 210 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case does not have front panel USB 3.0 ports."

Not sure if thats a bad thing/problem, but I wouldn't know. Anyway I see the build but as a non expert I have no clue what its outcome is. Mind giving a bit of detail on the build?

Bumpin' the bump

Also how good of a build does 500 even get?
