Comcast Rep Story

I just got off a chat with a Comcast rep.

It took 3 minutes. The representative was polite and understood everything I said. They upgraded my Internet to 105 Mbps. My bill is now $90/mo. No installation fee.

Oh the horror.

Yeah, funny how cooperative they are when they're raising your bill. (which I have to assume is what happened since you didn't say anything about what your speed/bill was before)

They were very cooperative with me when they upped me from 30Mbs to 50 and reduced my overall cable bill by $70/month.

Funny enough, my gf works for Comcast in a call center.

I get to hear about all the times customers call already cussing out, usually in an attempt to get some sort of compensation if the teller also gets upset.

When I worked in a call center, we were always instructed to stay perfectly calm, ask the customer to calm down, and then if they refused we'd calmly inform them that we were disconnecting the call and that they could call back when they were ready to talk calmly.

Other places would just have you transfer those calls immediately to people "trained" to handle them.
