Comcast must hate Microsoft for offering 1TB clouds

#1hitokiri13Posted 8/21/2014 5:31:51 PM
I didn't pay attention that I upload 50GB from my laptop and it's downloading 50GB in my Desktop. It put my monthly bandwidth 100GB closer to 1TB.

What are you crazy? Comcast LOVES that! that means people will accidentally go way over their caps much more often, they are already drooling on the profits they will make charging clueless people even more!

Edit: And it's not like Comcast is concerned with how much strain you put on their network when you did that, they've got more room to spare for many of their entire network of subscribers to all upload to Microsoft all day long. Of course they will see that a lot of people would be uploading to Microsoft and restrict all that data through a single router port like they did to everyone watching Netflix, after doing that everyone will complain for about a year till Comcast demands money from Microsoft for using up more bandwidth than other services/companies.

Why would they hate money?
I can't stand FFIX, waiting 20 seconds at the start of every random battle with slow animations is not fun.

I don't buy for a second that there even is a "strain" on the networks by consumers using bandwidth.

Might want to doublecheck that. A lot of markets have a 300GB cap.
Your problem is you've spent your whole life thinking there are rules. There aren't. We used to be gorillas.

Most markets have 300 GB caps or 250 GB caps, they just don't actually measure/enforce it in most places.

So far my place doesn't have that cap enforce. It says it has 250GB cap but doesn't enforce it.

Comcast is my internet provider and I try to make it a goal each month to exceed 250gb limit even though it isn't being enforced.
