Trying to remember the name of an old game

#1yibin88Posted 8/22/2014 5:30:27 AM
Back in my youth, I played a game and I'm trying to remember the name. It's been bothering me for a week now.

I played this on my old DOS computer, EGA screen.

The gameplay was similar to Eye of the Beholder. In it, you were a robot navigating levels and fighting enemies. You could get hit and some of your systems would malfunction. So you could become blind, or you map stopped working, or your weapon. Then you had to find the proper chip to replace the one that was busted.

Don't remember much more than that.

Anybody know this game?

Don't really have a clue but have you tried searching it on They have a fair bit of old games and you could filter the stuff by genre. Best part is you can buy it off them if you found the game you are looking for.

Your description reminds me of Captive.

Could also be Liberation (Captive 2) or Hired Guns.

Oldskool, ftw.

Sounds an awful lot like Day of the Viper.

You should ask this on the classic games boards here at gamefaqs.

Cool, glad to help. Liked that game myself, but could never beat it back then.
