You're going to want to buy it for the DLC.

My ghost/clean hands playthrough was actually my shortest playthrough. By the time I finally got around to doing it I was already VERY familiar with the game. So I was able to do this technique I refer to as 'power stealth' - which basically means stopping time and blinking past everything. Was much faster than actually fighting guys.

I highly suggest doing your first playthrough 'natural' though. Which means don't decide before you play how you're going to play it. Do that while in the game. Every encounter needs to be a choice - fight or flight, lethal or non-lethal.

Also does anyone know if it's been cheaper? I kind of want to buy the goty because I don't feel like playing it on ugly old 360 lol. For some reason I thought I remembered it being 7.49 for the goty at some point prior.

Cheapest it's ever been was $3.74. But I'm pretty sure that wasn't the GOTY version.

I don't think there is any harm in trying to plan the way you want to play the game. Especially if you only want to give it one go through and move on. If you actually plan on purchasing it I do agree however.

Thanks Moon. I guess 2.50 extra won't break the bank so I may snag it anyhow. I am itching to give it another play but would prefer to do it on my own terms and not rush because it's free. Appreciated.

Dishonored is like a fine wine. If I tell you how best to enjoy it and you respond, "no thanks, I have a ton of wine to get through so I'm just gonna chug it one go" I will slap you. I will slap you so hard.

Oh right, I did touch upon it earlier, but for those considering the game: I recommend turning off objective markers if you are even slightly the type who likes to figure things out yourself and/or explore. IMO it's far more satisfying to actually locate your target yourself rather than follow the magic GO HERE FOR KILL marker. I don't turn them off HUD elements in every game because I'm hXc mind you, but I think it adds a significant amount of immersion to this game. There's a level in particular that I think isn't nearly as good if you have the magic here'swhatyoudo arrows (for those who've played, I mean the mask party).

I agree with this. The game is a lot more fun without the marker imo.

Gotta compete against that on the house.

Is this the first free Steam weekend for a single player (loleaderboards) title? I was going to say something witty like "You know free weekends have been a thing before this." but it came to mind this is a single player title.

I remember I was able to beat Saints Row 4 completely last time they had a free weekend for it.
