Got a free prebuilt with an E5300 with 4 gigs of ram. Not looking for anything flashy. 720p on low

The CPU will struggle in newer/recent games. Nothing can be done about this without a new PC build.

But it was free, enjoy it.

I got a better build but I'm doing this for my bro to do graphic design and light gaming.

Thanks

You can never have a GPU too powerful for the CPU, but you can have a CPU stopping you from reaching a GPU's full potential. Paired with a 750, an e5200 is a very weak CPU.

Depends on how cheap it goes for. A Q6600 should be cheaper.

A Core 2 Quad would bring lots of games from totally unplayable to OK.

Apparently, $60 - $90. Was somewhere way over $150.

I wouldn't pay that, but it isn't as terrible as it used to be.
