About to installed Fallout: NV. What mods should I get?

I imagine atleast Project NEvada.

I only played this once before, a long time ago on Xbox.
If there's anything more important than my ego around, I want it caught and shot now.

If you also own Fallout 3, I suggest looking into A Tale of Two Wastelands. Aside from that:

A World of Pain
Classic Fallout Weapons
More Perks
NMC Texture Pack
The Mod Configuration Menu
The Weapon Mod Menu
Weapon Mods Expanded

Seems like a small list, but NVEC is actually a big compilation mod.
It's a trick, get an axe.

I would hold off on going too mod crazy. I DEFINITELY would not recommend monster mod as it's pretty immersion breaking and makes the game significantly harder. Which, I mean, is fine on future playthroughs but not really for your first.

DarnUI (must have, can't believe nobody mentioned this at all yet)
Weapon Mod Menu (much better method attaching mods to weapons and even allows you to take them off)
JIP Companion command - (view screenshots)
Wasteland Floral Overhaul - (same as above)
Mobile Truck Base - (Very cool mod if you want to try to avoid fast travel teleporting system)
EVE - (very awesome stuff see screenshots again)
Real Smokes - (kinda cool, but you may not want to use it)
Pipboy Readius - (because I thought the wrist-mounted one didn't fit NV)
One HUD - (perhaps watch the video on this one, I didn't think I'd like it at first but I really can't play w/o it now)

That's all I can think of that don't change the game much and more or less just make your experience better.
Solid's snake still shoots liquid, it's just that it's null.

Only 2 I can't live without now are;
Project Nevada for the sprint button and grenade hotkeys
Underground Hideout. Fantastic place for collectors like me. I probably enjoy the full armory with autostacking ammunition shelves as well as weapon displays the most but there are a ton of fantastic features. Finishing certain main missions for instance will add a house decoration that will remind you of said mission.

Afterschool Special - great house mod. I like working to get my amazing house rather than have it handed to you
What's a knockout like you doing in a computer-generated gin joint like this?

Also stay the hell away from Mission Mojave, that mod is one of the worst pieces of **** I've ever had the displeasure of seeing for NV.
