Ubisoft is such a laughably bad company...
You can unlock it in an INI file but it's not "officially supported".

Ubisoft doesn't understand PC gamers and treats them like console casuals. Not surprised.

It's a good thing they don't make good games, so this stuff doesn't apply to me.

As I've said before, they want you to buy on console.

It's not that unusual for a racing game.

Gamefaqs game rating system : 10 = Best Game Ever. 8-9. Crushing dissapointment. Below 8 :Total Garbage. This is getting ridiculous. people agreeing so far 117

But but but they need to lock it for the 30 FPS physics! Or is it cinematics. THERE IS NO OTHER WAY.

Imagine how many more PC supporters they would get if they didn't all treat us like scumbags? Look at how much we love Steam and Valve. That could be you, Ubisoft. But nope! Let's have terrible ports instead.

What?
Racing games need to be as high of fps as possible.
Consider drag racing counts down to 0.0001 seconds or less IRL. You can't measure that at 30fps.
And to be able to perfectly kiss the apex in a corner needs precise controls with the least amount of input lag as possible. Driving at 30fps is like driving drunk.

"Right now the team is focusing on providing an optimal experience for all players."

"Console hardware can't handle it, so you're getting the same treatment."

Totally optimal.

It's funny because racing games are the one time when console devs will stress how important 60fps is for a good experience, since it's the one genre they can make look shiny and pretty without needing too powerful specs.
