I'll start things off by quoting a post from the last topic I was going to reply to, before the thread hit the post limit.
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but since this whole thing started, I think we've made a total of six 500 topics about this one subject.
There hasn't been a bigger s*** storm in the gaming industry (well IMO) since the Mass Effect 3 ending. Which is pretty telling given how that debacle had the fuel of a hefty amount of Mass Effect fans, an established game series. This movement has been almost entirely from the ground up with different websites and userbases coming together who normally hate each other and refuse to get along. Now granted this debacle is mainly a big issue in the west while Japan probably could care less right now, but this is a big deal for all kinds of gamers and not just a specific fanbase of a game series/company. This isn't about console wars or other things that split people's opinions, it effects everyone regardless of allegiance and it especially effects younger people or newcomers who'd like to get into making games.

well, i'm blocking anyone that posts any more of these stupid topics. who cares about some whore
Nobody. It's not about her. It stopped being about her about two or three days into it; the following week has been about the issues that she happened to expose. Corruption, and not just of the journalistic sort. People who claim to be anti-bullying, bullying the hell out of people who dare to disagree with them. The willful and deliberate stifling of debate, the silencing of dissenting views. This is far more important than anything a single person did; this has blown up as large as it has because it served to bring the real issue -- injustice perpetrated in the name of justice -- under the spotlight.
