i'm using single 2GB GTX 760, is it worth upgrading to 1080 p monitor?

right now i'm using 900p monitor and the performance is 90% pretty good. it is usually 60 fps but sometimes it drops as low as 30 fps in heavy duty games like metro series. if i upgrade to 1080 p would the performance even get worse? should i wait and save up for better videocards before upgrading to 1080?

Well yes, that's kind of just how it works. Performance should still be fine though. Just may have to turn stuff like AA down/off. Maybe put shaders on med/high instead of ultra. etc

How big is your monitor?

My GTX 580 is a little worse than your 760, and has 500MB less VRAM. I game at 1080p and I still run most games on their highest setting with 16x AF and 4x-8x AA. It is slightly overclocked, but only as high as I could go without changing it from default voltage.

A 1080p monitor a good one is like 170bucks after tax

no point upgrading the GPU yet, maybe wait a year and a half

the difference between 900p and 1080p seems kind of negligable right now though, i think AA wuold clear anything up and horizontal lines are the ones I usually notice but were talking 480 extra bars here...

So like I said wait a couple years and get a 1440 monitor and a 780 or something
