Violence VS Sex in game

We don't get AO games because retailers refuse to carry them. Therefore developers will censor their game if it gets rated AO in order for it to sell. Same reason you really don't see NC-17 movies anymore.

I dont understand how people consider sex bad???

Outdated ideals drawn from irrational religions.

because THINK OF THE CHILDREN THEY ARE WAY MORE IMPORTANT!

lol not really. never understood why people put children above all else.

sex and violence are both fine in games. if a child sees it its all the parents fault for buying the game for them.

It's the issue that people think kids seeing nudity or sexuality is damaging when that is factually incorrect. Check this: a child seeing a consensual typical sexual interaction is a good thing in general, seeing violence is not, yet society lets kids see violence all the time and supports subjecting them to it, but they even punish kids for exploring their own sexuality.

Sex is normally based on love, violence is base on hate
so are you a loving person or a hating person?

That's not how it works when talking about games. This is about what is least harmful.

Take a 9 year old child. Would you show them a porn movie or a movie with violence? What do you see more of in the media? Some guy getting shot or a big ole male member penetrating a... well you know.

You cannot judge a person based on their stance on this subject.

The sex is better for the child by far barring anti-sexual pro-violence puritanical morals.

Violence has been a standard form of human entertainment since the dawn of human civilization. It was REAL violence then, gladiators would smash open the heads of REAL people, and the crowds would cheer.

Sorry, there were no sex games for people to watch. It's a way some living creatures breed, there's nothing entertaining about that. Stop trying to justify you lust and perversions by attacking violence. We're incredibly tame nowadays, since all our forms of violent entertainment use FAKE violence, unlike what our ancestors did.

This is literally factually incorrect.

There are some GEMS in this thread, nothing entertaining about watching sex hahahahaha wow that's some nonsense.

Violence in gaming is only bad if the person who is playing the game is dumb enough to actually be influenced by the content. I'm actually going to write a speech about it later this year for a public speaking class--think about it, how many people buy violent games on average? Millions per game? Yet you don't hear about millions of crimes being committed with proof of video games as a direct influence to the act. It takes a truly messed up person to take the game's content the wrong way and actually try to replicate it.

Sex (I assume we're talking about sexism here) in gaming is acceptable in some cases. And before you freak out, think about historical facts. A female character in Assassin's Creed 2 needing to be rescued would make sense, because at the time, females were historically seen as more fragile. Not having a female playable character in a new Assassin's Creed game because it's "too hard to program" is just a pathetic, sexist excuse, and it in no way reflects history like the other instance does.

Neither are bad. And I like when games have both elements.

I'm more comfortable with violence in games than sex.
After all sex is for 18+ people.
And we don't need sex in life. It's a nice thing to have, but not necessary like food or oxygen.

So you are implying that violence is a necessity in life?

There is a difference between real life and fiction, if you didn't know.

Yes, I need violence in my entertainment (FICTIONAL), and yes more nudity and sex would be neat too. Why not?

No, I do not want to see violent acts in real life, because it hurts actual people, and ruins actual lives. Sex does too, but well... that's another story.

PS: Some holy men and women don't need sex. I'm not even sure they are allowed to pleasure themselves. Hm.
