I have been away from pc games for a long time. I have heard in passing about the insanity that has been plaguing some pc games with always on drm and such. Have they pulled the drm out of games like assassins creed and diablo and sims city?
It's better than ever before. The stupid BS DRM that some companies have put into their games never last very long. GFWL is also no longer around so that's good news too. --- Solid's snake still shoots liquid, it's just that it's null.
AC no longer has online requirement as well as sim city.
diablo 3 remains online-only.
oh and GFWL was never officially shut down. --- PC hardware doesn't need to match console hardware in price when PC gamers save literal thousands from the software they buy. http://i.imgur.com/9Yv0R2Z.jpg
GFWL is just another online service like steam but absolute crap in comparison.
there's no workaround for always-on with D3 but you shouldn't worry about servers going away seeing as D2 servers have been on for 14 years and counting... we're not really talking about random EA annual release #241 whose servers shut down on console after 1-2 years. --- PC hardware doesn't need to match console hardware in price when PC gamers save literal thousands from the software they buy. http://i.imgur.com/9Yv0R2Z.jpg
