I don't fully believe OP, but whatever.

I do agree with some of his points though. Gaming these days is becoming more and more tedious with mandatory DLC, 'day one' editions, store-specific exclusives, etc. I miss the days when cheat codes and $50 got you everything a game had to offer.

Gamers have to get back in the closet. Gamer danger!
Buy a game and you get automatically put on the sex offender's register ;)

Nice try but TONS of game can be purchased with their complete DLC for less than $50.

Sometimes, when the weather isn't quite what it should be, I pour myself some OJ, sit on my porch, look across the field, and think about all those shallow graves.

Social media has always been garbage....in theory keeping in touch with friends from high school sounds fine, but it has twisted itself into a manipulative and intrusive device in a great deal of peoples' lives.

Isn't that what all social interaction ends up breaking down to?

I think most people who are truly done with gaming (or any other hobby) don't require a public forum post to announce it in dramatic fashion. Usually, they'd just cut the cord. Using the "dramatic fashion" route is typically just a ploy for attention.

True, social interactions at the face to face level can easily play out the same weaknesses but social media is instantaneous, can happen from anywhere at any time and be seen by so many more eyes so it's more damaging.

I don't get why anyone would even follow the... thing. I just buy good games and play them, I didn't even know the thing was even a thing until a week ago.
