I do agree with some of his points though. Gaming these days is becoming more and more tedious with mandatory DLC, 'day one' editions, store-specific exclusives, etc. I miss the days when cheat codes and $50 got you everything a game had to offer. --- I love Mods. <3 XOXO

I think most people who are truly done with gaming (or any other hobby) don't require a public forum post to announce it in dramatic fashion. Usually, they'd just cut the cord. Using the "dramatic fashion" route is typically just a ploy for attention.
True, social interactions at the face to face level can easily play out the same weaknesses but social media is instantaneous, can happen from anywhere at any time and be seen by so many more eyes so it's more damaging. --- A true cinematic 24 fps experience
