If the world lost the Internet for an entire year, how would you feel?

I'd say so...

Think Weird Al's Amish Paradise would be apt as well?

*Looks at Karma*

Huh, well isn't that quite the coincidence?

My former job would have been hell without the internet. I worked in the medical field and everything was done electronically. Most medical records and patient information was stored online, so without internet we would have no way to access the most up to date medical file. We can't view x-rays, medication administration records, or even a previous blood pressure reading because everything was stored online.

My co-workers and I would have been crippled, and the department would have collapsed. We could go back to pen and paper charting and taking information but we would have had to cut back significantly on the amount of patients we saw in a day because the old way is so slow. Writing out a patient's complete history and looking up information in a paper chart is slow and time consuming when done by hand.

As for what I would do, I would just go back to reading books to pass the time. Read some old classics or study history a little more. Maybe even pick up a book that might teach me a new skill or trade that I can use everyday.
That's what I did before the internet became widespread in use in the 90's, so I know what it's like to live without internet or cell phone. I didn't really use the internet until my senior year of high school and the beginning of my college years. I didn't own a cell phone until I was almost done with college back in 2006.
