Which Worms title to buy?

I played Worms 1 + 2 back in the day, but fell off the wagon with constant iterations. Do any of the ~10 available on Steam stand up above the rest? Is there one that feels like a more "definitive" Worms experience than any of the others? Looking to revisit the series with a newer entry than the first two.

Worms Armageddon is the best in the series and is still getting updates.

Worms Armageddon is still the best one especially when it comes to the ninja rope. If you want one of the newer ones, Worms Reloaded would come in second place. The thing i liked about Reloaded was that you could actually make vertical or horizontal maps.

Never played a Worms game in my life. Is Worms Armageddon a good jumping on point?

Yeah, it's fine. There's a tutorial mode which is sufficient, and you can mess around in skirmish or do the story/challenges

It's strange but the 3rd Worms game (Worms Armageddon) was the best one they made.

True. For most series, the second game is the best, and the third where they start ruining everything.
