Best notebook for around $500-700?

Just something for general usage like browsing, maybe light video editing, netflix and movie watching, light gaming like 360 era games running low to medium, but gaming isn't all that important since I have a gaming desktop, would just be a nice extra.

I am also thinking it wouldn't matter if I could just use Steam streaming over the internet from my desktop to the notebook.

Also, what's your opinion on the price to performance of this Microsoft Surface Pro?

The best five star high quality notebook that can sit well on a surface desktop.
Great for the office and good for drawing, words.. etc. Cheaper than $500-700.

Lenovo Yogapads

Those look nice, better storage than the Surface Pro offers for cheaper. Sucks they don't have i5s in them though.
