Don't know. It's my most anticipated game this year, but I don't think the tried and true Civilization formula will let me down. Definitely looking forward to it.

From what I've heard, enough of the mechanics (AI, tech-tree, planetary dangers) have been changed to make it an entirely new Civilization. So hopefully it only looks like Civ V with a new skin.

Don't get me wrong. Civ V with A Brave New World expansion is my favorite Civ, but I'm not sure I'll shell out much money for a reskin. I love the idea of a sci-fi Civilization (even if it isn't Alpha Centauri 2), and as long as they changed enough to make this feel new, I'll buy it sooner than later. If not, I'll gladly wait a year for a good sale.

I'd be more hyped if the alien worlds looked more like alien worlds. They look like Earth but with some twists, which is why it looks so much like a reskin.

Haven't played it. Don't know. Alpha Centari was much more than Civ II re-skinned, so I have hopes that this would be the same
