M1AstrayPosted 6/30/2011 12:47:05 PM | Okay, before I log off for the evening I wanted to ask a question, see, Final Fantasy Tactics War Of Lions was added to the Australian PSN recently. I'm interested in picking it up (have been for a while actually), but I just want to know if the PSN version functions properly or not, I'm aware of the UMDs problems and that they won't have been fixed for the PSN release, I just want to make sure the PSN release doesn't have any problems of it's own.
Cheers. --- Currently Playing: Pokemon White (DS), Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria (PS2) |

Any Idea how much it is? |
seanskatePosted 6/30/2011 2:35:24 PM | its 10 euro's here on eu store. --- PSN = BakerBoard XBL = ClickedButton |
ophionPosted 6/30/2011 2:42:48 PM | There is not one apostrophe in the entire game; I would avoid it. |
SambuquePosted 7/1/2011 12:17:58 AM | I finished both the original FFT and WotL -umd- several times and the small slowdowns in WotL never bothered me; they're surprising the first time but afterward you forget about them.
To answer you, they're still present on the digital release and to the same extent as they are on the umd release.
But it's imo the definitive version of game and at 10€, I doubt you'll regret your purchase. |
NeojianXPosted 7/1/2011 8:54:55 AM | I got it for $8.99 new on UMD. Actually less, because they had buy 2 get 1 free on new games. Not at Gamestop. --- God's War is an awesome book from a different prospective. Sci-Fantasy stuff. Kameron Hurley |

No, capping FPS at 30 for spells is pretty much objectively terrible no matter how you look at it. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/queenofficial#p/u/25/v8L3TCXsyX4 Queen owns. |
EntrydeniedPosted 7/2/2011 1:11:49 AM | The slowdown wasn't a UMD problem. It was bad porting. Problem exists in both PSN and UMDs. Not a big problem once you get used to it. |

This. It's a very, very solid game provided you know what you're getting yourself into in terms of the slowdown issues. They are VERY obvious, but eventually you can just tune them out. The game's story and gameplay are more than worth dealing with the slowdown. --- Kenshin's the Beauty, Kaoru's the Beast? - Mister_Feeny Would that make Shishioh the candle guy? - Gettles |
