FF Tactics: War of the Lions
Just such a well written SRPG!

Non RPG, but the Syphon Filter games are amazing in both gameplay and story

FF Type Zero by far. It even has a second playthrough with an entirely different perspective on the story. A shame Square is dragging their feet or waiting till E3 to announce a localization.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky

Why are you giving TC a hard time ?

i disagree. Trails isn't nearly as great as everyone claims it is. There's nothing wrong with it, but people hype it to the moon like it's the greatest thing ever. It's not, and the story never seems to pick up either. It stays at the same pace throughout the entire game. The amazing story pickup people go on about is non-existant.

Trails is garbage, go with Final Fantasy.

Trails in the Sky is awesome. The game starts off slow, but I like the fact that npc's always have something to say after every event and the world is well developed. Ending was great, can't wait for the second game to come out.

Whether the ending was great depends on whether the second game comes out in the US. When I reached the end of the game, my feeling was more along the lines of "Oh, that's it? The game's over?"

Still, a good game - but if the next one never gets localized it'd be like only watching the first movie in the LOtR trilogy.
