that people like options. look at sony with the vita, With the vita they should've made it where you play psp games from memory stick or umd drive and the abilty to tranfer your psn downloads from your older module psp to your vita and sony won't lose money because people would be buying vita more if the vita does that, so what i'm tying to say that when you make a new device have some of the features of the older modules combined with the new features, EX. look at the wii, plays all of the old gen. games.

But isn't it to make money? if you have a vita and you want to play a psp game then you are going to have to buy a psp to play the game. right?

I'm confused; are you suggesting that Sony should have built a UMD drive into the Vita just for BC? I think that would have been a mistake. It may have been nice if they had released an external UMD drive as a Vita peripheral, to allow physical BC to be an option. I agree that this could have helped initial sales a little.

It also may have been possible to allow the Vita & PSP to connect, so that you could simply use your existing PSP as an external drive while playing on the Vita. This could allow PSP users the same functionality without buying a separate drive, and Vita owners could access the UMD library with a cheap peripheral purchase. Also, the current PSP-on-Vita compatibility would be less of a problem.

and the abilty to tranfer your psn downloads from your older module psp to your vita

This is a non-issue. PSN downloads are tied to your account, so you can just d/l them onto your Vita and have them accessible on both. There's no need to transfer from PSP to Vita, is there?

The point that you can only use one PSN account per memory card hurts pretty bad. Sure they want you to buy more of their expensive cards. Whew.
