F***ing Abyss

I'm glad I had the sense to save after every 10 floors. I got to floor 26 and was ambushed by four of these things that looked like Colonzons, only more powerful. Each one used a spell that hit everyone for 1000+. Instant (almost) KO. I may end up doing this ten floors at a time.

Got to floor 31 yesterday. I think I'm just going to do this in 10 floor increments. Otherwise I'm going to get too pissed off to finish the game.

Yeah, those ambushes can be killer, even when you prepare for them.

The Abyss is one of the extremely few places in the game where I bother with gimel coins.

At least in ACF you CAN save the game in Wild Arms 3 its a must do in 1 run due to no saving and you start back on floor 1 any time you exit before reaching the last floor.

Which in turn even with 4x level 100 PC's Migrant level 18 to 20 when canceling ALL random fights took me at least 7 hours to reach floor 100.

Also .hack GU's vol's 3 bonus dungeon is just as bad 100 floors long and after the 83rd floor those monsters star to use multi stats ailment moves (and are immune to all physicals) though at least saving the game every 5 or 10 floors IS possible.

That long? I think ACF's Abyss took me close to that only because I was writing the guide.

Forest of Pain is not even that bad if you know how to go about it. Again, that one only took me so long because of my guide. <_<

I only went through WA3's abyss long enough to pick up a couple of the rarer items. Couldn't stand the thought of going through that mess. And that reminds me. I've never beaten Ragu in anything other than the original and ACF.

Yes both Wild Arms 3 Abyss and the Forest of Pain took me 7 hours to reach its last floor and yes in GU vol 3 I used a negate all battles that aren't boss's effect as wel and started the FOP with 3x level 130+ PCs (of the 150 max levels.)

.
Though unlike the Abyss most Forest of Pain boss's will start to lose only 1 to 20 or less per physicals/per spell without going into awakening mode first.
