D/P movesets go in the D/P boards for obvious reasons.

this is the competive battle moveset from a guide

here is the basic thing you need to know:
Type: Ground/Poison
Ability: Poison Point/Rivalry
Base Stats: 90 HP / 82 Atk / 87 Def / 75 SAtk / 85 SDef / 76 Spd
Pros: Makes a nice Fighting-type counter, higher defenses than Nidoking.
diverse movepool
Cons: Offensive stats are rather mediocre

Nidoking @Choice Band/Choice Scarf
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Poison Jab
-Megahorn

Nidoking Choice Specs/Choice Scarf
EVs: 6 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
-Earth Power
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Beam
-Sludge Bomb/Flamethrower/Focus Punch

Nidoking @Leftovers/Life Orb
EVs: 132 Atk / 240 SAtk / 136 Spd
Lonely Nature
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt

here is the last thing it says:
If the restrictions of Choice items aren't your thing, Nidoking makes a nice
mixed sweeper with attacks that can hurt most of the Pokemon in the game.

Life Orb, Boltbeam, and Edgequake is decent.

My favorite team so far has been Luvdisc/Ledian/Nosepass/Dustox/Spinda/Delibird. - gbchaosmaster

Use Choice Specs Nidoking while in the UU competitive environment. Nothing short of Hypno wants to switch into him. He hits most standards harder too.
