I've never quite understood this. Is Porygon worth training? He costs so much to get, is there any reason to get one other than just filling up the Pokedex? Any notable moves? Good stats? Anything worth mentioning? --- PSN ID: RedSleeves "A bear driving a tractor while talking on his cell phone with Batman makes more sense than this idea." -Xobelox

Not really. He's much more useful in Gen 4 --- Do you like soda? No, I like Pepsi

When you're playing competitively (ingame it doesn't really help) you can do all kinds of crazy things. Switching in on vaporeon/jolteon/lanturn for a free heal, or blissey/altaria/celebi for a free destatus.
You can switch in on flygon, get levitate, and dodge earthquakes. Best of all, you can trap and KO dugtrio and magneton. --- THIS IS WHAT I HATE A BOUT EVREY WEBSITE!! THERES SO MUCH PEOPLE READING AND POSTING STUIPED STUFF

Porygon is very decent ingame, even unevolved.
Porygon 2 can easily hold his own in competitive, even if it doesn't have as much impact as he does in Gen 4. --- gbchaosmaster

Porygon isn't the best pokemon to use in Firered stat-wise, but it has a good movepool. --- Bunnies shall eat chu! ^.^
