I'm pretty sure this has been covered but I'll post it anyway.
after beating the five contestants on nugget bridge go to the Poke Center and put away all your pokemon and keep your worst pokemon in your party (magikarp). Talk to the team rocket guy and he will give you a nugget for beating the contestants and ask you if you if you want to join team rocket. He will then battle you. Lose intentionally and every time you talk to him he will give you a nugget. Repeat this as much as you want. Sell the nuggets for $5000 at the pokemart. It's probably the easy way to make money early on in the game. --- "None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free." -Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

But you'd have the shame of having lost repeatedly to a random team rocket goof for the rest of the game. --- I like poptarts soaked in beer!

This trick is impossible if you have an Omastar.
Omastar just can't lose, much less to a Rocket. --- gbchaosmaster
But it's impossible to have Omastar without cheats during this part of the game and if you did use cheats, why not just use the money code? --- "None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free." -Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

It's helpful to buy anything you need such as potions, repels, awakening, ect. If you do this method enough times you don't ever have to worry about being short on money. By the time you get to Celadon City you'll have enough to buy expensive items such as calcium, protein, iron, tms ect. This might be irrelevant to your play style, but I'm sure this can be useful to some. --- "None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free." -Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
