Doing a Nuzlocke challenge for the first time, how's my team so far?

Venasaur lvl 35
Fearow lvl 37
Dugtrio lvl 35
Gyardos lvl 35
Electrode lvl 35
Flareon lvl 35

Any Pokemon I should change out or any Pokemon I should try to look for.

These are the rules I am following:

Nickname all Pokemon captured.
Must catch the first Pokemon encountered in each route.
If Pokemon faints before caught in said route, forfeit that route.
Once a Pokemon faints, it must be released or boxed permanently.
Legendary's cannot be used and must either be boxed or defeated.

Do kids even read what they write anymore?

I understand I can't look for specific Pokemon I am asking whether if my team is balanced or not or whether if I need a different type of Pokemon, I guess I should have specified exactly what I meant.

Even then, you see, Nuzlocke is supposed to be a challenge. Your topic title does say Nuzlocke CHALLENGE.

But it's not. Much less when you ask for help.

Get out there and show them what you're made of. Whatever you're made of.

It's a balanced team in terms of type but I'd use a Scyther or something else with False Swipe so you can get the HP down low enough to catch wild Pokemon. I can't comment on level because I don't know where you are. If the wild Pokemon are lower levels, you should be OK. I like to keep one Pokemon at a lower level so I don't knock out all the wild ones before capturing because False Swipe sometimes takes too long.

To the other poster--writing and grammar aren't prized skills anymore. I ignore the words used and try to figure out what's being asked, or I skip the message.

Then I don't know what you were talking about. Never mind.

He was pointing out the inherent contradiction between two things

1) Being forced to catch only the first pokemon you see on a route
2) Having the ability to seek out a pokemon you want specifically

If you have to catch the first one, then there's no "what to look out for". You catch what you get and you use what you catch.

Not.
