Bad controls shouldn't be a complaint if the first three games had abysmal controls too, unless you went with the normal walking method for SH2 and SH3. --- wussup wussup

I hate the controls of The Room and later games specifically because there was no tank option. Many people seem to dislike tank controls, but I was used to them for ages, and the 2D control system forced on us in this game is intended for overhead camera angles. That's why it works so well in games like Metal Gear Solid. The Silent Hill games tried to shoehorn the 2D control system into a behind-the-character perspective. Which is why, when you end up in a place where the camera angle moves with the character, or worse, suddenly shifts to a stationary position not behind the character, you find yourself running into walls like an idiot in a cartoon.
If you like that control system, well, to each their own, but I really wish tank controls had been left in as an option, because they really do work better with the camera system in Silent Hill games. --- "If I were the most hypocritical bastard in all of the universe, it wouldn't matter at all in regards to my point. Apparently I'm supposed to be fighting 4 or 5 dogs at once, but even so much as dodging one is based on complete dumb luck.
You got trouble dodging? Man...
Dodging is all about skills and predicting when the dawgs will move. It takes some skills to do it, not dumb luck. --- "So I waltz into a bar and yelled at a number of men before they charged at me!" ~ Sir Redred the Reckless
