if you didn't play it during NES glory days. This game provided endless hours of fun for two players. We had a cart that had like 50 games on it, and Ice Climber was easily one of the best games on it (this and twinbee were my favorites).
Through the grace of Nintendo Gods, Ice Climber gained marginal popularity because of its heroes starring in the incredibly popular Super Smash Brothers Melee.
You got it backwards. They put them in Melee BECAUSE Ice Climber used to be one of the masterpieces during old NES era. If you weren't even around back then, then you don't have the privilege to disrespect Ice Climber's legendary status. Do you think you know more about how popular these games were than Nintendo themselves?

I agree with the statement. Perhaps the reason they were placed in Melee was because the game was a bigger hit in Japan. --- "i was a mistake" - ahmedzub
