i like how this game has real submission rope escapes. depending on the situation and the hold, you can grab the ropes to escape the submission. i can't remember if it's possible in day of reckoning 2, but i don't think they are as common as it is in DOR1. also in DOR1 during submission holds, with many of the holes it seems like part of the struggle involves them actually moving around the ring during the hold. the submissions are executed properly in this game, maybe even better then DOR2 in some areas. it's nice seeing the guy actually grab onto the ropes and force the breaks in DOR1.
