Any way to change your character's voice after starting the game?

I accidentally skipped the voice section in character creation and now my PCs voice sounds nothing like his character. Any way to change this?

I did the same thing and would like to know if this is possible as well.

no, start a new game or live with it

Oh wow, Zondergrod. I wasn't aware you helped make this game and that you know everything about it.

If you're going to make a claim, back it up with a source or proof. If not, just stay out of the thread and let someone else, who might actually know something, answer.

You didn't like his answer so you jump down his throat? Neat.
He was a little brusque, though.

I haven't tried it, but I had a quick look at the files.

Edit "Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Characters\character name\character name.xml"
A line near the top reads
SoundSet="xxxxx"

Change it to one of the" ss_pc_xxxxx" files listed in the vo directory.

The voice files are in "Dragon Age\packages\core\audio\vo\en-us\vo"

there's a way to do it. each of your characters has its own .xml file under My Documents\Bioware\Dragon Age\Characters\(Character Name).

The first line has something that looks like this:

SoundSet="ss_pc_mhuman_wise"

Where I guess ss_pc_mhuman_wise can be replaced with the name of any of the other voice sets

there's a good chance there will be a console command for it as well.. but it might take a long time before it's discovered.

Ghost0fStarman, I just don't like it when people don't add anything to the thread and only post in order to make people stop searching for help. That's kind of the reason forums are here, though, and look what happened when we kept looking; people came up with ideas.

I did try editing my SoundSet="ss_pc_melf_wise" to SoundSet="ss_pc_melf_mystical" and restarting my game, but unfortunately he's still saying everything in the "wise" voice... Hmm. I'll keep playing and see if anything happens.
