I just started playing and I'm a bit confused: why do the good guys wish to destroy a land full of Sprites just because of a resurgence in demons? I mean, they could just go to the source of the problem and destroy it. Also, what kind of reason is "The Sprites once served demons in the past, so it's OK to destroy them"? That's like justifying flooding a person's house because you saw them run a red light a few months prior.

I think it's along the lines of, "to prevent the resurgence, destroy the land altogether," you know, for the greater good or something.

But this is exactly what Ein does after chapter 1 -- Ursula wants him to destroy the source. Ein's mission after Chapter 1 is to destroy the demons without destroying the land and its inhabitants.
