Hello im playing the japanese version fo Pokemon Emerald and i need gameshark codes for the old sea map in my inventory and then a enabler for the event that i can travel to Faraway Island.

Like i said, japanese working codes please.

Lol I was struggling with this exact same thing, except with an AR3. I solved it by getting the general item insertion codes here:

Then I used this code converter to get them into the form I wanted (format is "Codebreaker/GameShark SP (Raw)"):

The AR3 Japanese code for initiating the events (so that you will be able to use the Old Sea Map, for instance) can be found here:

http://gamehacking.org/?s=bsfree2&sys=30&gid=23097

You should be able to reverse-convert it into the format you want.

Note that the Old Sea Map's item code is 178. It is not displayed on that first site. For a comprehensive list of all event items, check out this link. It's in Japanese, but if you don't know it you can just cross-check it with Bulbapedia, which has all the Japanese item names on the event items page.

But the enabler doesnt work for me

Not really (im not sure if im done it right).

Thanks for the help though.

I found Warp Codes and im using that. Even if i dont have the old sea map in my inventory, when i use warp codes, is there a chance that the Mew can be shiny?

I know the odds (1:8192), but this is not the question.

Almost everybody uses warp codes anyway, so you're not really missing anything.

But yeah don't worry, the Mew can still be shiny. Still generated the same way as though you'd gotten there via boat!

When i save in front of Mew (when he already saw me and escapes into the grass and you need to follow and catch him, so that the battle starts), is it already decided that the Mew cant be shiny or can i continue with this method?

Because you waste a little bit time if you need to follow and catch him for every soft reset.
