FCOM trouble, crashing after intro movie.

Are those all yoru active mod files? If so, I see some problems... but won't say until I know for sure.

Best way is to not give me the BOSS order, but the Wrye Bash order. Open Wrye Bash, along the bottom left run of icons you'll see a little icon with a page and a yellow triangle in its corner. Click it.

The page it brings up, you should be able to scroll down and see a list that has a header "Active Mods" in bold. If that's not there, hit the "Mod List" button along the bottom of this window, and check again. Once you find the "Active Mods" header, copy and paste all the mods listed beneath it and post that here.

These two conflict - and for now I would suggest just disabling both of them, until you get a working FCOM.

Doesn't necessarily cause problems, but this can be manually set in game. For now I'd say disable it until you can get FCOM to work.

I know a lot of these are tempting, but for now I'd disable them... I know "City Defences" is buggy when it works, "Extra Wounding" is fairly new and I don't think incorporated properly in FCOM yet. The final two (Resized Races and Zombies for Body Meshes) are outdated and are probably causing problems.

I have no idea what this is, but for now I'd disable it as well.

There's also the Fran's Delinquent Master, that MAY need a reinstall... but we'll look at that after.

Also, about the Mart's Monster Mod you've got installed. Which one did you download? There is one where you download an old version and then patch it up to 3.7bp3, and there is another where it is in two archives. The first archive contains a "MMM.bsa", and the second contains all esm/esps. Do you know which one you downloaded?

I downloaded the MMM with the MMM.bsa and all the esps/esms. Should I have gotten the other one?

Alrighty! This isn't mentioned anywhere but a couple times on the official forums (which is why FCOM can be a ***** to install if you don't know), but to get FCOM to work with the brand new MMM, you need to:

Go to your Oblivion\Data folder. Find the MMM.bsa - rename it to: FCOM_Convergence_Mart'sMonsterMod

Once that's done, head here and download the Unofficial FCOM patch (provided because the main guy who does FCOM is on hiatus, so an unofficial patch was needed to sync the new MMM with FCOM):

Once that's downloaded, open the archive. Place the following into your Oblivion\Data folder (say yes to overwrite):

FCOM_Convergence.esm
FCOM_Convergence.esp
FCOM_Knights.esp (IF you're using Knights of the Nine, didn't look like you were though?)

then choose one of the spawn rate reduced.esps IF you want it (I go with FCOM_SpawnRatesStronger.esp, reduces size of mobs for better FPS BUT they are tougher so it balances out)

and also FCOM_Warcry.esp

Open Wrye, activate all these new esps, resort with Boss, select all active mods, right click and select "Mark Mergeable", then rebash, and give it a go.

One more thing!

You have both:
FCOM_Warcry.esp
FCOM_WarcryNoSpawn.esp

In your active mod list. Take one or the other. I go with "FCOM_WarcryNoSpawn.esp" because I dislike the monsters, but you won't know unless you leave it active, so I'd go with "Warcry.esp" for now and take "FCOM_WarcryNoSpawn.esp" outta there.

Still not working after I replaced the files, I have a few questions though:

BOSS keeps moving OOO.esm to after the FCOM.esm. I'm pretty sure FCOM is supposed to come last, but can you confirm that?

It also puts FCOM_warcry.esp after FCOM_convergence.esp, again, It seems backwards.

I've disabled all but the barebones mods, here's my load order:

Yeah, FCOM_Convergence should come at the end of those two. Is your BOSS Masterlist updated? It should be the one here: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20516

Go to "Files", under the header "Optional" (which it isn't), download Masterlist Update 17th December 2009. Extract the masterlist.txt into your Oblivion\Data folder, use BOSS again, give another lookover for any errors. If it's good (aside from that Delinquent Master), try launching Oblivion again (no rebashing needed). If it still doesn't work properly...

I'm not quite sure what "Delinquent Master" means, except that maybe something effed up during that unpack. If the updated Master doesn't work (or if you've already updated and it's not working anyway), you could try reinstalling Francesco's Leveled Creatures-Items, then reboss and rebash and see if it works.

If it doesn't, I'd say:

Uninstall Oblivion
Delete your Oblivion folder (to get rid of all traces of mods)
Clean Oblivion from your registry (I use CCleaner to do this, easier for my inept self)
Reinstall Oblivion
Reinstall FCOM from scratch, doing only the bare essentials first this time

Damn, sorry I missed that. I did it from a 100% clean install so it probably didn't matter, which is why I never caught that bit.
