Maybe how I set that up was confusing. She said she barely makes 5 gold in a year. Then I proceeded to pay her the standard 10 gold for a room. In other words, she has half a customer per year for one night only.
She may charge 10 gold a room, but how much does she actually earn?
Does she own the establishment herself, or perhaps she is just renting the space? What are the property taxes? Does she employ anyone other than herself, and if so what does she pay out? How much does she spend on things such as food and fresh linen for guests? What about candles and heating? What about insurance payouts for lost/stolen property?
In any case, if she only makes 5 or less gold a year then she is doing something horribly wrong. --- I smell sxding cadty, bear. Who's that toucehnding my pillare? Who's that giving mightly shrungs in my direction? Lacuna, this dsobnent be a dream!
