PS3 vs PC textures?

#1Door2LightPosted 2/19/2013 2:25:58 PM
I just now noticed that the ps3 graphic textures are better than the PC. Is there any reason why because I have oblivion at 1600 X 1200. Is the Ps3 better or what?

what are the specs of your pc and what graphic settings are you using because the ps3 version should not look better than the pc.

Lol that's why. I'm running I5 3470 @ 3.2ghz, Sapphire 3gb 7950, 8gb RAM and my oblivion is on complete maximum settings. Looks better than ps3 and Xbox 360 skyrim by about 3x. I put mods on then, now it looks like real life. So I disagree with you. You said your specs, which are terrible. Saying it looks worse than the ps3's? No duh, you must be running uber low settings.

Edit: My Morrowind also looks better than ps3 oblivion for characters and buildings, and the environment, sky, enemies, landscape looks better than console skyrim :)

your morrowind looks better than console skyrim?! Holy crap. I saw morrowind and that's hard to do

Also I fixed it. It was on bloom so I put it on HDR

With mods that is entirely possible. Not vanilla.

An old 7800GT with the same CPU and RAM that the TC has can max Oblivion. You don't need " I5 3470 @ 3.2ghz, Sapphire 3gb 7950, 8gb RAM to make it look better than PS3 Oblivion. I was about to type that enabling HDR will make the game look better but, anyway, the TC has managed to fix it, so no issues.

I'd look for others, but I only have time for a quick post. Frankly I don't want to use either of those links because the first guy takes two whole "parts" to start showing anything decent of the graphics while the second guy sounds like he'll be annoying as heck.
