SP for Bishop's skills

#1GameFaqGuestPosted 7/17/2010 2:17:51 AM
Hi yesterday I just become a Bishop and now i complete Life Root quest and got Genesis skills.
So the question is should I max Genesis straight away or leaving Lv.1 and max other skills first before maxing genesis? Thanks in advice.

You max Genesis first, or at least get it to 20 as Gen30 is prohibitively expensive.

there's some math somewhere that says some odd level of genesis is superior (like, 6 or 11 or something idr)

Speed > Pot Costs

Get Genesis to Lv20. You need something like 780 Magic to consistantly (95% of the time) 2 hit KO Skele with Lv20 Genesis. However to OHKO them, you need 1188 Magic with Lv30 Genesis (Something you wont have until 160+ probably). My Lv130 Bishop is currently lacking about 300 Magic needed to OHKO with Gen30.

What I am doing, is I have Genesis at Lv20, Maple Warrior is Lv10 (I am getting it to Lv19 next), then I am going to put one point in Res, and then probably max Bahamut/Angel Ray.

To be honest, most Bishop skills are crap, Genesis is all you ever really need, Maple Warrior is obviously nice for the boost to let you one hit Skele sooner (though MW20 is expensive and MW30 is insane). Theres a lot of things that are really just not worth your time, like Holy Shield, etc. One thing to keep in mind though, is that if we get this patch that KMST has had, then Genesis will be rubbish for training and Big Bang will be the skill you are using. So try and make sure you max it before the patch comes out (which its still not 100% that it will happen here yet, since nothing on KMST is set in stone).

Oh and as for the Math that LAW was talking about, I assume he means this:

http://www.sleepywood.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1228868

It tells you what magic you need with what level Genesis, to 1 hit, 2 hit and 3 hit a few monsters, like Skele.

It's not "set in stone" in that it isn't going to be in the game at all. We're still getting a revamp, I'm entirely sure of that. I'm certain that we will only get some numbers changed around.

So really, if anything, you probably shouldn't be recommending Big Bang. That skill's so broken at this point, it'll probably be adjusted one way or another.

Guys, I didn't hit 100% of the notes, why am I not getting 100%?
