He's the Big Bad and he's got an army. To draw out the game's supposed longevity, we're supposed to be fighting his generals first. After all, you don't go after the final boss of a game without fighting their generals and armies first, right?

In due time, we'll be able to face him, starting with his left foot, then his right, and eventually more body parts.
