I went a little nuts this morning when I read this on IGN. Please please please.

I read this too! Holy monkey Jesus!!

Please, PLEASE make this happen. I, along as with every other person here, will forever love this man if he does this. Psychoanuts may have a better chance in the sales market now since it's reached cult status and can build hype with an HD remastering on Xbox Live/PSN. Seems to be working for Beyond Good & Evil.

Well, if this does happen, it could be bigger (to us at least) than Gearbox supporting Duke Nukem Forever.
Currently recording "Let's Play"/Playthrough videos for: InFamous 2, Sly 3, and R&C3.

Literally the greatest piece of news I've read in several years.

My respect for Notch just increased several... notches. Like through the roof. Obviously he's made tons of money from Minecraft, probably a lot more than he ever expected, but this is still just an act of philanthropy by a fan of the original game.

Let's hope this will give Psychonauts 2 the green light.

Hey, if Persson want's to fund it, I'm good with that.
Just as long as he has no creative input whatsoever.

Edit: Oh, looks like he wants to do just that. Good on him
Although, if you think about it, Persson probably has no idea what he would be getting himself into. He's made about $40 mil or so off Minecraft, but I wonder if he even has any idea how much money would have to go into the project or how one even goes about publishing a title like this? I'm guessing no.

Looks like Dracogen Strategic Investments are also interested (they've helped fund Double Fine before),!/Dracogen/status/166887523073789953

This could actually happen :)
