After you beat Xande, can you save the game?

Is it technically over? Because I was playing last night and i got to the Cloud of Darkness. After dying and resurrecting with that cutscene, I continued forward, fought it again, and died again. This time, I went back to the menu screen and had to start from the Crystal Tower beginning again!

So in order to keep my game updated and safe, after defeating Xande, do I just teleport out and save? And then try to fight the Cloud when I really am ready? Because I kept hitting it with 0 damage. And are there any tips to beating the Cloud?

ALSO: If you save the game after beating Xande, can you come back into the tower without any interfering glitches?

Thank you!

Nope, you can't leave after beating Xande.
Before facing CoD for the second time, you need to find and defeat four other bosses in the World of Darkness to make her vulnerable during the final battle.

So you can't even teleport out??? And what four bosses are you talking about? I only saw the bosses in the Forbidden Land, if that's what you mean, but I beat those already.

If those aren't what you're talking about, where are the four bosses?

Yup, no teleporting.
Once you get that scene with the mirror there is no going back.
And no, not the bosses in the Forbidden Land.
Once you arrived in the World of Darkness after being revived from the first CoD fight, there should have been four other paths besides continuing forward.
At the end of each path is a boss.

Oh okay. I didn't see those other paths. Well, what level (normal level and job level) do you guys recommend before taking on the Cloud?

50-60 is good. Ninjas are great here, as are devouts. Knights and warriors are great as always, but watch out as the COD likes her magic. Black belts and monks (Special item only) are fast, hard hitters. Thats about it.
Not changing this until ff6 gets a 3ds remake. 6/19/2012.

Okay, I think my people are around 60.

My class right now is:
Devout - around 25
Knight - around 15
Ninja - around 10
Dragoon - 89

Is this good? (Maybe I should level up the Knight and Ninja a bit more first...)
